Number crunching is Fun. Maximum numbers are generated from Cricket scorecard. I thought this statistics would be interesting to view IPL V from different angle.
It is interesting to note that Pune team won 63% of league matches, played on their home turf, but fared poorly in "away" matches. Teams Delhi and Mumbai fared equally on all the grounds. Comparing Chennai Vs Kolkata, we can see that Kolkata put up solid performance by winning more games played on other grounds. No wonder, they beat Chennai in final, played on latter's home-ground. They were destined to win... statistically. At the same time, these two metros knocked out financial & political capitals of country, in spite of putting up better show in league matches.
Cricket is the iceberg of Uncertainty and T20 format is the tip of that iceberg !!
